Robins are in the thrush family of birds which is in the Passerines order of birds which is the largest order of birds in the world. Passerines are also called “perching birds”

Most robins lay eggs in April or May and incubate them for 12-14 days. Baby robins get their feathers in about 10 days. The lifespan of a robin is about 2 years.

The robin is the second (2nd) in abundance only to the red-winged blackbird in the U.S., you can find them in all 50 states. The robins diet includes insects, worms, and fruit. They are diurnal, which means they hunt during the day and sleep at night.
