Owls are nocturnal birds of prey or birds that hunt at night. Owls are in the Strigiformes bird order which only has 2 family’s the true owls and the barn owls but I thought barn owls were a specific type of owl. Owls have binocular vision which means they have their eyes on the front of their head.

Owls fly almost silently because their fluffy feathers mute any sound they make. Great horned owls can grow to be 25 inches long and have a 5 foot wingspan. Captive owls can live to be 30 years old. Great horned owls do not make their nests but take already made ones.
